Fat Unhappy Emotional Rollercoaster

9 Feb

Q. Victoria,
I read your newsletter every week and I want to say thank you for being there for me. I don’t have a lot of positive people in my life, so I really appreciate your love, humor and
Kindness. I feel like you are my friend as well as my personal trainer.

I am writing to you today because I feel like I am losing it! I get up in the morning and I have the best intention of eating right and having a good day but by 3:00 in the afternoon I am exhausted, irritable and I cant focus to save my life. I feel like so unstable.

I know I am not crazy or anything, I just have little to no energy and I suffer from severe mood swings. My life seems okay. I have good job and my husband is totally sweet to me.

We have been married three years and working towards saving for our first house.
I am not depressed and I have no desire whatsoever to go on anti-depressants. I hear they can make you gain weight and a bunch of other stuff. I am just sick of being fat and unhappy, so the last thing I need to spend my paycheck on drugs that make me gain more weight. Now I am not dissing anyone who is on them, that’s their business. It’s just personally for me, I am wanting to heal my body and emotions naturally so that I can be healthy for a lifetime.

I think I am eating right, but it’s hard to know anymore since most magazines advertise fake healthy food. You think you are getting a healthy protein bar and it ends up having a lot of sugar and additives in it.

Can you shed some light on the mood swings and how your program could help me so that I can get more energy, get back to my pre-marriage size and enjoy the blessings I have been given by God. I don’t want to be like my mom who is barely moving, always complaining about her health and IS NEVER HAPPY! I want to change. I want to enjoy every second I am alive. I want to “celebrate” life the way you sound that you are.

Karina

A. Karina,

I feel you girlfriend!
Like you, I am a woman who has personally struggled with obesity, low blood sugar, poor self- esteem, and lack of motivation and looked for practical helpful information. My health problems were the catalyst that spurned the passion I have for teaching, coaching, dancing, writing and research.

Before I took control of my health, my destiny, and my life, I was totally unstable. I was an emotionally wreck. I could cry at the drop of a hat about anything. I was totally paranoid for NO reason! I didn’t trust my own judgment even though I ran a corporation.

At work, I was assertive because of my personality but at night I would cry myself to sleep at night with a bag of cookies under my pillow. I don’t have all the answers for everyone. I may not even have the answer for you, but I truly believe that you can feel better, enjoy your blessings more and you can definitely have more energy without the mood swings.
Controlling Your LBS and uncontrollable mood swings.

No, not pounds, but Low Blood Sugar (LBS). Low blood sugar, also known as hypoglycemia, or the “Nutritional Nightmare,” is one of the most misdiagnosed diseases in America today. Upwards of 60% of Americans are thought to have low blood sugar, and one out of every three women is thought to be possibly suffering from low blood sugar. Although this condition was seldom heard of just a few years ago, today more and more physicians are finding that many of their patients who were puzzles to diagnose are actually hypoglycemic. It only takes a minute to look at the myriad of symptoms to understand why this disorder can be masked and misdiagnosed. Perhaps more than any other disorder, low blood sugar has been responsible for many patients being horizontal on psychiatric couches when they should be vertical at lunch counters.

Karina, I suffered from severe hypoglycemia and if I don’t follow my Quick Start food list correctly, I will manifest uncharacteristic behaviors in no time at all. My day could be going great until that bagel I had for breakfast gets digested and all of a sudden, I get irritable, tired, ADDHD symptoms start playing havoc with my head and my emotions. It’s hell on earth and in my head and my office!!

Through my intensive studies, professional writing, medical interviews with specialists, workshops, training programs, seminars, and personal hands on experience, I have learned that many people are and do not even know it. This is a serious disorder. It’s plaguing millions of people but it does not always require pharmaceuticals so the money hungry drug companies don’t want you know that you may be able to just change your eating and exercise habits to get better.

Think it Over
I am not diagnosing you or anyone else. I just want you to be aware of a possible problem and some solutions. You can work with my program about glycemic eating and perfect it so that it fits the chemistry of your body. Blood Chemistry is individual. This is by no means a cure, a diagnosis, or a prescription. It’s information you can read to help you better understand a part of the population that seems to be searching for ways to feel better. As you read it, consider who else you could share it with also. Many times, the doctors I interview say that many children have this disorder and their parents allow them to go on dangerous medication without researching the possible cause of the problem.

Hyperinsulinism

The medical textbooks call the condition “idiopathic, functional, Seale Harris-type, benign hypoglycemia,” which is a physician’s way of admitting that the blood sugar is too low to support the nervous system and the brain, and that he doesn’t know why. Sometimes, he offers another title for the disorder, one, which would seem to be an explanation—”hyperinsulinism.” This explains the low blood sugar by blaming it on an overactive pancreas. It doesn’t tell us, however, why the pancreas is overactive.

Low blood sugar can cause an unbelievable array of symptoms. It can make a psychiatric wreck out of a normally well adjusted individual. It creates intolerable anxiety. It can turn a balanced person into an apprehensive hypochondriac. It has even been known to drive the sufferer to the use of tranquilizers or the ministrations of the psychiatrist.

You have crossed the line from mediocrity to the elite (only 3-5% of Americans) who is in charge of their future. Get ready for the negative doubters and the negative questions. Only answer them if there is a benefit to helping someone else. Never justify your enthusiasm to those who are unmotivated. It will only cost you energy. From this day forward, treat your energy like your money, invest it wisely and deposit it where there will be a positive return.

My Energy Program is designed to possibly stabilize blood sugar, consistently increase your energy, and reduce unexplained mood swings as well as a jump-start to help stimulate a lazy metabolism. This is great news for sufferers of unstable mental fogginess. It is even greater news for the spouses, bosses, and loved ones who live and work with them. This nutrition program is balanced and complete. It is based on all the food groups. It does not recommend any one specific food in excess.
